These Ticket Terms and Conditions apply to all tickets purchased for events, festivals, workshops, gatherings and other experiences operated or promoted by [insert legal entity name] trading as Rise & Gather Co, ABN [insert ABN] (“Rise & Gather Co”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By purchasing, accepting, receiving or using a ticket, the purchaser and ticket holder acknowledge that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
Where a purchaser buys a ticket for another person, the purchaser must make these Terms and Conditions available to that person. Each person who attends an event using the ticket will be taken to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
A valid ticket is required for entry unless Rise & Gather Co has expressly advised otherwise.
Tickets may be issued electronically and must be presented when requested. We may require proof of identity, proof of age or evidence of eligibility for a particular ticket type.
Tickets may not be resold for commercial gain, used in promotions, competitions or giveaways without our written approval, or obtained through an unauthorised seller.
We may refuse entry where:
a ticket is invalid, duplicated, cancelled, refunded or obtained fraudulently;
the ticket holder does not meet an advertised age or eligibility requirement;
allowing entry would create a safety, security or operational concern;
the person is intoxicated, behaving aggressively or failing to follow reasonable directions; or
the person has breached these Terms and Conditions.
Unless required by law, a person refused entry or removed from an event due to their own conduct will not be entitled to a refund.
Event programs, speakers, facilitators, practitioners, stallholders, activities, schedules, locations and advertised content may change.
Rise & Gather Co may make reasonable changes to the event where required due to circumstances outside our control, operational requirements, safety considerations, weather, venue requirements, illness, emergencies or speaker availability.
A change to the program, speaker lineup, facilitator, activity or timetable does not automatically entitle the ticket holder to a refund.
Tickets are non-refundable for change of mind, personal circumstances, scheduling conflicts, illness, travel disruption or failure to attend, except where required by law or expressly stated in the applicable ticket refund policy.
Requests to transfer a ticket to another person must be made in writing before [insert deadline] and remain subject to our approval.
If an event is cancelled and not rescheduled, ticket holders will be entitled to the remedy required under applicable law. This will generally be a refund of the ticket price paid, excluding any amounts that may lawfully be retained.
If an event is postponed or rescheduled, the ticket will ordinarily remain valid for the new date. Any refund or transfer options will be communicated to ticket holders.
Rise & Gather Co is not responsible for indirect or personal expenses associated with attending an event, including travel, accommodation, meals, childcare, parking or loss of income, except to the extent required by law.
Some Rise & Gather Co events are held outdoors or in natural environments.
Ticket holders acknowledge that weather, terrain and environmental conditions may affect the event. Attendees are responsible for preparing appropriately, including bringing suitable clothing, footwear, sun protection, water and any other items recommended in event communications.
An event will not necessarily be cancelled because of rain, heat, wind or other weather conditions.
We may modify, relocate, delay, suspend or cancel activities where reasonably necessary to protect attendees, workers, suppliers or the venue.
Rise & Gather Co events may include workshops, talks, movement activities, meditation, breathwork, creative activities, demonstrations, food, wellness services or other participatory experiences.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, event content is provided for general educational, informational and experiential purposes only. It is not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal, financial or other professional advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Ticket holders are responsible for determining whether an activity is suitable for them.
Before participating, attendees should consider their personal health, fitness, mobility, pregnancy status, allergies, medical conditions, injuries, medications and any other circumstances that may affect safe participation.
Attendees must:
follow reasonable instructions given by event staff, facilitators, practitioners and venue personnel;
advise the relevant facilitator of any condition or limitation that may affect participation;
stop participating if they feel pain, distress, dizziness, discomfort or concern;
seek medical or professional advice where appropriate; and
carry and manage any medication or personal health equipment they may require.
Participation in any workshop, treatment, demonstration, movement session or activity is voluntary.
Ticket holders acknowledge that attending and participating in an event may involve risks, including risks arising from:
crowds and interaction with other attendees;
slips, trips and falls;
uneven or outdoor surfaces;
weather, heat, sun exposure and environmental conditions;
food, beverages, allergies and intolerances;
physical movement or participatory activities;
emotional responses to discussions or workshop content;
personal property being lost, stolen or damaged;
travel to and from the event; and
acts or omissions of independent stallholders, practitioners, speakers, contractors or other third parties.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, each ticket holder voluntarily accepts and assumes the ordinary and inherent risks associated with attending the event and participating in activities.
Attendees remain responsible for their own decisions, conduct, belongings, health and participation.
Nothing in these Terms requires a person to participate in an activity they do not feel comfortable undertaking.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rise & Gather Co, its directors, employees, volunteers, contractors and representatives will not be liable for loss, damage, injury, illness, expense or inconvenience arising from:
risks voluntarily assumed by an attendee;
failure to follow instructions or warnings;
an attendee’s personal health condition, allergy, injury or limitation;
the conduct of another attendee;
lost, stolen or damaged personal property;
services independently supplied by stallholders, practitioners, speakers or third-party providers; or
events outside our reasonable control.
To the extent permitted by law, attendees release and indemnify Rise & Gather Co and its directors, employees, volunteers and representatives from claims arising from the attendee’s own negligent, unlawful, reckless or unauthorised conduct.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, statutory right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where our liability may lawfully be limited, it will be limited to the remedies available under applicable law.
Speakers, facilitators, practitioners, vendors, stallholders and other service providers may operate independently of Rise & Gather Co.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Rise & Gather Co does not provide, supervise or guarantee individual products, treatments, advice or services offered by independent providers.
Any purchase, booking, treatment, consultation or arrangement entered into with a third-party provider is between the attendee and that provider.
Attendees are responsible for making their own enquiries about a provider’s qualifications, suitability, products, services, insurance and terms.
Food and beverages may be sold, supplied or sampled at the event by Rise & Gather Co or independent vendors.
Although reasonable efforts may be made to communicate ingredient and allergen information, we cannot guarantee that food or beverages will be free from allergens or cross-contamination.
Attendees with allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements are responsible for making appropriate enquiries directly with the relevant vendor before consuming any product.
Children may attend only where permitted for the particular event and must hold the appropriate ticket where required.
A parent or responsible adult must supervise children in their care at all times.
Parents and responsible adults are responsible for determining whether event content and activities are suitable for the child and for the child’s behaviour, safety and participation.
Rise & Gather Co does not provide childcare unless expressly advertised.
We aim to create welcoming and inclusive events.
Attendees who have accessibility, mobility, communication, sensory or other support requirements should contact us at [insert email address] as early as possible before the event.
We will consider reasonable requests but cannot guarantee that every request can be accommodated, particularly where notice is limited or the venue imposes constraints.
All attendees must behave respectfully toward other attendees, event staff, volunteers, speakers, practitioners, stallholders and venue personnel.
Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, aggression, unsafe behaviour, unlawful conduct or serious disruption will not be tolerated.
Attendees must comply with:
applicable laws;
venue rules;
safety instructions;
emergency procedures;
alcohol and smoking restrictions; and
reasonable directions given by authorised event personnel.
We may refuse entry or remove a person whose conduct creates a risk, causes disruption or negatively affects the safety or experience of others.
Where alcohol is available, it must be consumed responsibly and in accordance with applicable licensing requirements.
We may refuse service or entry to anyone who appears intoxicated or affected by drugs.
Attendees must not bring prohibited, dangerous, illegal or unsafe items into the event, including weapons, illicit substances or items that may interfere with event operations.
Photography, video and audio recording may occur at Rise & Gather Co events.
Images and recordings may be used for event reporting, promotional materials, social media, websites, advertising and future event communications.
By attending the event, ticket holders acknowledge that they may appear incidentally in crowd photographs or recordings.
Where practicable, attendees who do not wish to be photographed or recorded should notify event staff on arrival and follow any identification or seating arrangements provided.
We will take reasonable steps to respect such requests but cannot guarantee that an attendee will not appear incidentally in wide-angle, crowd or background footage.
Attendees must not photograph or record another person in a manner that is intrusive, disrespectful or contrary to a stated request.
Commercial photography, professional filming, live streaming or recording of presentations is not permitted without prior written approval.
Personal information collected through ticket purchases and event attendance will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.
We may use contact details to:
process and administer the ticket;
communicate important event information;
manage safety, accessibility or dietary requirements;
respond to enquiries; and
send marketing communications where the recipient has consented or where otherwise permitted by law.
Ticket holders may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time. Operational communications relating to a purchased ticket may still be sent.
Attendees are responsible for their own belongings.
To the extent permitted by law, Rise & Gather Co is not responsible for personal items that are lost, stolen, left unattended or damaged at the event.
Any lost property handed to event staff will be managed for a reasonable period and may then be disposed of or donated.
Rise & Gather Co will not be responsible for delay, interruption, modification, postponement or cancellation caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
These circumstances may include severe weather, natural disasters, fire, flood, public health events, government directions, venue closure, industrial action, transport disruption, utility failure, civil disturbance, security threats or the unavailability of essential suppliers.
Any refund, credit, rescheduling or other remedy will be determined in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the event.
Event materials, presentations, recordings, workbooks, branding, written content and resources remain the intellectual property of Rise & Gather Co or the relevant presenter or rights holder.
Attendees must not copy, reproduce, publish, distribute, sell, record or commercially use event content without prior written permission.
A person who breaches these Terms may be refused entry, removed from the event or prevented from attending future Rise & Gather Co events.
No refund will be provided where refusal or removal results from the person’s own breach, except where required by law.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
The parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and any courts entitled to hear appeals from them.

By purchasing, accepting or using a ticket, the purchaser and ticket holder confirm that they:
have read and understood these Terms and Conditions;
agree to comply with them;
understand that event participation may involve ordinary and inherent risks;
voluntarily accept those risks to the extent permitted by law; and
understand that their statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
